Also, kink is EVERYWHERE. In the costume department during halloween, in movies with lingering close ups of feet, on billboards, in parking lots, in your own damn mind. Kink is CONTEXT. Kink is personal. Kink can be literally almost anything in the proper scenario.

The "kink" that people don't want to see at pride is like, puppy play, gimp masks, and leather daddies. Like, what do you think is going to happen? Do you think they're gonna start plucking people from the crowd and fuck on stage?

Even if you're going to hate something, learn about it so you can do it with your whole chest, and not a misplaced traumatic whine.

We need kink at pride because “kink” isn’t just kink. “Kink” is:

That boy wearing jeans that are too tight

Your neighbors and their “friend” that lives with them

Having a beard and wearing a skirt

Wearing any kind of choker

Literally anything else they decide goes against the “norm”, and it can be literally anything. That is why we need kink at pride.

I absolutely DO have a Mihawk playlist. I share the playlist construction with another creator on Tumblr who I love, cherish and adore: @sordidmusings. We add to it as we write, recommend songs as they come to us to help with words in works.

I am a violinist; have been playing for 25 years this year (I AM GETTING OLD, JEEPERS CREEPERS). Music is a great, passionate love affair for me and I adore learning about songs and pieces new and old. Gaz was a trouble maker. Him, Ghost, Price. And Soap were the troublemakers of the school. You wouldn't want to get in there way. It wouldn't be pretty. People call the 141. Nobody known how they got that nickname. They just did.

Price, or his acsual name John is the leader, being the oldest of them all. He's the ring leader and his older sister laswell (real name kate), always helps them get out of trouble.

Ghost, or Simon, is the most violent of all of them. He doesn't usualy 'caus trouble unless you piss him of enough. With usualy ends with the poor person having a couple broken bones. And he always wears a facemask in school with a skull on it, weirdly enough.

Soap, or Johnny is the youngest and most caotic of them all. He is the one who comes up with the 'pranks' and the poor person who's going to get 'prankt'. He's also just barely the shortist of them all (Gaz being two inches taller then him). He's also in the same year as Gaz.

And lastly, the Gaz himself. Or his real name Kyle. He is the jock pretty boy of the group. All the girls are swooning over him. He is the captain of the basketball team, and a fine ass locking man. That doesn't mean he's smart- he is falling most classes (Soap is too, but thats more obvius) sinds he doesn't care to studie. Even with all these girls swooning over him, he has rarely dated somebody. He's not really a player.

And then there is you. Your the new foreign exchange student. With cripaling social anxiety. And you just transferred for there school. Your luckly enough to fall into the background until your first lesson. Maths. Not the best first start, but it could of been worse. And then the teacher makes you introduse yourself infornt of the class. Amazing. You reluctenly and quickly Introduce yourself. You were placed next to a guy name Kyle (sinds the teacher must hate you) and the lesson starts.

But the thing you didn't know is that Gaz fell inlove with you at first sight. Your accent. Your hair. Your eyes. Everything. He was smittend. And know he was sitting right next to you. All focus is out of the window for him. He is even trying to focus of whatever that boring teacher is saying. Just. you.

Eventualy we get asignments handed out that he (the teacher) wants us ti finnish THIS lesson. What a mennis. So you focus all your attention of finnishing this asignments sinds ofc your not going to get in trouble on your first day. Minutes after the asignment is handed out you feel a tap on your shoulder. It's your desk partner, Kyle

"Could you help me with this?"

he asks you pointing to a question. You already had this subject at your previos school so this is light work. You start to exsplain the subject with leads into a convo.

When you agree to exsplain the subject and the question to Gaz he is astatic, listening to your every word. As you dumb down the subject exsplaining it with ease. With somehow makes him acsualy understand it. But he uses this as a opertunity to start a acsual convo with you to learn more about you. Like what country you come from, what your natie language is (he'd 100% try and learn or understand it if it isn't english) and what you like

As he hears you rant about things you like and your home country, he can't help but think that you would be perfect victim of one of Soap's 'pranks'. But he wouldn't allow that. But he couldn't let them know that he is head over heels for the new weird foreign kid. But the fact that you help and exsplaind maths to him. He could use the exscuse that you are tutoring him. But no matter what. Your not gonna get bullied by his boys. He won't allow that.

So I am planning that dcla consent video in my head atm. And I won't say I will talk about all of these things in order, but it's basically stuff I want to bring up.

I wanna start with discussing how these shows like to use "surprise kissing". Which basically means "I didn't know, or were prepared, for you to kiss me but I am fine with it". With this, we can start to see what was actually consentual and what was not.

Violetta did not know Leon was gonna kiss her in their first kiss, BUT she very much liked it and sees it as a happy memory. It became consentual.

Violetta technically kissed Leon without his consent in 3x06, since he was asleep. However, in this case it was to mimic the way it happens in fairytales, and I like the trope of the princess waking up the prince instead of reverse. Also, it did cause Leon to wake up, and HE does not seem to have minded this. And if we'd elaborate on this we'd have to dig in the whole fairytale kissing people sleeping problem. In the end: We'll let this slide because it was supposed to be a romantic fairytale moment and everyone involved was ok with it. But, please do not kiss sleeping people irl.

I don't think Yam was that prepared that Ramiro would kiss her in S1, but when she saw the situation he was in, she went from "WHAT are you doing?! >:(" to "Oh! I see you need to get out of this situation! Okay!"

Maggie randomly kissed Rey on several occasions without him being prepared, just to disguise what they were actually doing. I don't know if he was that ok with it but he let it slide.

Naty was quite shook when Maxi kissed her in 2x71 but she liked it seemingly and then wanted him to do it again so.

Angie and Germán have "surprise kissed" each other several times and like. Germán at least liked it. He's like a sim, he got kissed once and got in love and so now when you don't control him he's gonna go kiss the other sim automatically without you wanting to

Ludmila and Federico's first kiss is very unclear

I mean when Leon kissed Roxy he did it mid sentence of her trying to talk and tbh out of context he was kind of pushy when she tried to talk herself OUT of the situation, but that whole scene I feel like we should pass

And then there's moment where people are non-consentual and it leads to nothing.

Beto kissed a random lady, and he thought it was Jackie?? But HE WASN'T EVEN DATING JACKIE TO BEGIN WITH so even if it was her it would've been just as strange

Jade kisses Germán without his consent on multiple occasions. This does not lead to very much other than them being awkward and moving on from it.

I will discuss Benicio later. I don't know why Ámbar keeps forgiving him for assaulting her...

I will then proceed to discuss the cases on non-con kisses that affected the plot somehow. Starting with Andrea kissing Maxi without his consent in S1. Yeah, remember Andrea? She had 2 actresses for some reason. Anyway, she was played as completely delusional and kissed Maxi without his consent, and then HE got the blame for it. After discussing that case, I will be like "so that was just one case... but there's a BIGGER ONE" and then BAM, we cut to the Yo Soy Asi duet. I will have my big fair share about Diego here. Maybe I can go tease the Diego supremacists who thinks he's perfect and that "Violetta is not the victim" in S2. Also I'm gonna question Pablo as a teacher for even trying to enforce them kissing.

When I am done with the Diego rant, which will be glorious, we shall move over to Matteo. This will be epic fun. Especially since I know many Lutteo shippers LIKE the scene you know I will talk about. So I will be like "I know many would see this more as a surprise kiss... but it's not. I have heard the argument that 'Luna didn't pull away from him so she must not have been that uncomfortable'. So this is why I disagree with that:"

With Matteo done, I can just slip in about Emilia. "Now when this happened to him, these were the consequences". Emilia definitely needs to be held accountable for it and I am glad the show DID hold her accountable for it. But, it also feels weird that, when Matteo does it to a girl it's romantic and when a girl does it against him she gets held accountable immediately. I know it was different situations but STILL.

We can then move over to Michel. I will discuss how out of all three of Luna's love interests, only ONE of them have had their first kiss with her consentually.

Then we can go to Eric and how Nina and Luna sort of bond over being kissed without their consent ??? and continue to ship each other with the respective boy????????

Yes... then I will mention Felipe Diaz. Fuck that guy I hope Ludmila and Naty kissed each other in front of him while flipping him off and then threw him into the river.

And then Benicio. Of course <3 I will make sure to also mention the kiss at Dia de los muertos. That was a curious case where the kiss was intented to be consentual and then BECAME non-consentual when she realized who she kissed. Good job Benny boy.

Then I guess I'll just take things I've missed. Maybe I can mention Tomas' "Your kiss with Leon was my kiss" even if it doesn't have to do much with consent but rather just because I wanna complain about it

You know, I’m kinda torn on the new Scooby movie that’s coming out next year. One hand,, I really like Scooby and Shaggy’s designs so far and the fact that all the other Hanna-Barbera characters will be there (what can I say, I’m a sucker for crossovers and multiverses). On the other hand, I really hate the fact that WB replaced the current Scooby Doo voice actors behinds their backs without even telling them they were being replaced and I’m kinda nervous on how they’ll’ handle everyone’s personalities, doubly so for the other non Scooby-Doo characters given that they haven’t been in the spotlight for more than 20 years or so. I’ll still watch it once I have more info about it when I can, I’m just gonna wait and see.

I’m more shocked that they’re making a horror movie out of the Banana Splits Show given that it was pretty much just as corny and cheesy and silly singsongy as a lot of other live-action/animatronic/puppet shows made at the time the original came out. Then again, they’re probably either doing this to cash in on FNAF or to poke fun at how weird and creepy 70s mascots and dolls look to us. Well, then again, Hanna-Barbera did make a ton of obscure, short-lived adult shows in the late 60s and early 70s, and Adult Swim pretty much made and aired more mature versions of their older shows like Sealab 2020 and Space Ghost Coast to Coast/the Brak Show, and Harvey Birdman, so I guess it’s not too weird.

Divide the plot by seasons

Here I come again to make a post about my unsolicited opinion, but the possible plot of Oblivio brought back to me something I’ve been thinking for a while.

Several people have complained that the plot is basically the same it was in the first season. And they’re right.

Some defend it’s because of what Austruc said: the show has to be able to be enjoyed in whichever order the episodes are released.

But.

As a content creator, saying that you’re limited by your media, is... well, it sounds like an excuse. If you have to work inside some parameters... then you adapt to them?

If you can only have development within seasons and the order of the episodes have to remain changeable, then fine. But work with it.

For example. You know you have material for six seasons. Perhaps you still don’t know if they’re gonna be approved, but your story is six seasons long. Well, then. Divide your plot in those six seasons. It’s not that hard. If they get approved later, then perfect. If not, you at least told the beginning of it.

Not that I want to tell another content creator how to tell their story, but now that I’m giving said unsolicited opinion, here is how I would have resolved it:

First season is to introduce your main characters and the dynamics of the plot. They actually did it. So check.

Second season is to evolve your characters. Marinette and Adrien didn’t know each other very well, then make them know each other. Give them plenty of interactions. Let the viewers see their interactions and make them clear on where they stand with each other. It doesn’t have to have an order, just make plenty of concise interactions so nobody doubts where they stand. They are friends. They are falling for the other side of the square. They have conflicted feelings. They’re partners. I don’t care, just make their interactions clear.

Third season is the middle of your storyline. Make the reveal. Do a twist. Reveal some secret relevant to the plot. But for everything that’s holy, don’t take it away because then you’re not advancing the plot. Make it at the end of the season, but advance something. You’re literally at the middle, you should be starting your climax, not stuck exactly where you were at the beginning. 

You have two conflicts: the love square and the actual villain. Resolve one.

The villain is not the best option to take away from the equation right at the middle. So let’s go with the love square. 

If you can only achieve actual development at a season finale, then, once again, fine. But give the rest of the season something solid. Make them conflicted for whom they really love. Make them ponder in several, different episodes about who they think the other is or why it hurts them or annoys them that they can’t reveal themselves or that their feelings can not reach the other. Just... tease for the plot point that is about to come.  

Make the fourth season the aftermath. Show how they deal with this situation. Now, you have been giving hints of lore and general plot (that in any other series could have been explained in the first season, or maybe a season and a half tbh), well then make a twist. Or reveal some sort of information that can change the game for the better or worst. And actually, you can make that either season four or season five. 

Season four could have a twist and season five could have a secret revealed that can change the game for better or worst. Or you can have a secret revealed for plot purposes at the end of season four and then make a twist out of it for season five. See? There goes your excuse of “it should be watchable in whatever order”.

Season six is to resolve your story. The series finale. That’s it. 

This way, you can have an organic relationship between your main characters, and show us that the happy ever after is not when you get the love of your life and that’s it. This way we get to see them work together as a team and a couple. You can give them other conflicts and we could watch them resolve them. Heavens know we need more animation where this happens. 

And by that, I’m not meaning adding a secondary love interest because if you can’t solve your main conflict, then why the hell are you adding secondary problems to it?

The story is not over, emotionally speaking, when the love square gets together. You have plenty of emotional plot points. The villain is the father of one of the main characters, for goodness’ sake! You can have a whole series about that only. Or a character arc, for that matter. But oh, don’t get me started on how Adrien is getting zero development when the opportunity is just right there, just take it!

Granted, they have added more heroes and another villain, but again. It has done very little to the plot. It’s almost as if they’re making a show to just sell merchandise, but I have seen better shows that have been made for the sole purpose of selling merchandise that are way better, so...

If Oblivio happens and there’s a reveal and then it gets erased... No, I don’t think I would scream. I would just majorly siiiiiiiigh.

Idk if we should keep calling them "Christians" when they don't even follow their own doctrines. I've taken to calling them "Evangelists" because that's really what they seem to worship, the idea of being right by whatever means and convincing everyone else of the same. The god they claim to worship preaches tolerance, acceptance of sex workers, and seperation of church and state. And there are christians who DO live by these doctrines and they have been forced to share a name with these poor excuses for human beings. Im including all the way back through the crusades. It's literally become the worship of this false pale skinned blond haired idol.

Ugh, cleaning out my basement with my mom, uncle, and the landlady today and throwing away the shit that got moldy from the last flood (most of which I’ve had since I was a kid) as well as having a unusable, even shittier attic is one reason I Despise rentals; too bad that’s all we can afford right now. Not the first time I’ve have my shit destroyed by a basement flood either. Oh well, time to look at pics of pretty non rental homes here on Tumblr.
